STUDY PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The primary purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of, and potential Federal interest in, developing flood control improvements for the protection of existing commercial, industrial and agricultural areas and proposed (zoned) light industrial development lands which are located in the flood plain adjacent to Vancouver Lake, Washington. The study area lands are currently in the process of being annexed into the City of Vancouver. The study was initiated at the request of the City of Vancouver, Washington, the potential project sponsor (see exhibits 1 and 2). This report is an interim feasibility report and was prepared in response to the above study authority.
