Solutions, Inc. 1998. Burnt Bridge Creek Water Quality Data Trend
Analysis. Vancouver, WA: City of Vancouver, Public Works.
Introduction: Burnt Bridge Creek has been the focus of water quality monitoring and watershed planning efforts since the early 1970s. It will be the objective of this project to compile and analyze the water quality data collected by the government and private entities pivotal in these efforts.
Site Information: Vancouver, Washington's Burnt Bridge Creek begins approximately three-fourths of a mile south of Fourth Plain Road and one-tenth of a mile west of 162nd Avenue, meandering westward for approximately 12.9 miles through the city to its discharge point at Vancouver Lake. The estimated 28.8 square mile watershed drained by the creek and its tributaries, Cold Creek, Burton Creek, and Peterson Ditch, lies entirely within Clark County.
Burnt Bridge Creek history, geologic characteristics, and physical features are detailed in the Burnt Bridge Creek Watershed Plan, (Clark County 1995). A Class A designation (i.e., suitable for fish, water supply, and recreation) (WAC, 1992) has been assigned to the creek by the Washington Department of Ecology (DOE).
