County Public Works Dept. 1984. Burnt Bridge Creek drainage basin flood
control study: environmental impact statement. Vancouver, WA: the Dept.
(Supplement)PREFACE: On January 31, 1978, a Final Environmental Impact Statement was completed for the Burnt Bridge Creek Drainage Management Plan. That plan was all comprehensive in that it addressed various aspects of storm water management on the creek such as water quality, capital improvments, institutional , policy and regulations, etc. As time progressed it became apparent that there was some question as to the effectiveness of the proposed capital improvements proposed under that plan. In fact, the Burnt Bridge Creek Interim Management Board report, issued in December of 1979, recommended a new analysis be conducted of the proposed flood control and capital improvement measures. That analysis has now been completed and calls for some changes to the original capital improvement program. The analysis and recommended changes are addressed in the Burnt Bridge Creek Flood Control Study prepared by Parametrix, Inc.
This supplement to the original Environmental Impact Statement is to address the recommended changes and their impact. This supplement will address only the recommended changes to the capital improvement program for flood control and no other aspect of the Burnt Bridge Creek Management Plan.
