A history of restoration efforts for Vancouver Lake
Clark
County Planning Dept. 1968. Vancouver Lake Complex: staff analysis of
the study completed by Stevens, Thompson, and Runyan. Vancouver, WA:
the Dept.
Purpose of Report: The development of Vancouver Lake area represents potentially one of the most significant developments in western Clark County. Because of its importance, the County Planning staff has prepared this summary and analysis of the proposed plan as prepared by Stevens, Thompson, and Runyan of Portland. It is hoped that this brief analysis will assist the Planning Commission in their deliberations upon this vital subject. As the plan develops over the years, it is incumbent upon the Planning Commission to keep abreast of the changes. Unless this is done this development plan, as with so many others, will simply be another "dust catcher" in a long line of schemes to alter the Vancouver Lake environment.
